Criminals may attempt to send fraudulent wire instructions that appear legitimate. Failure to verify wiring instructions could result in funds being sent to an unauthorized account and may not be recoverable.
Do not rely solely on emailed wiring instructions. Before sending any funds, you must independently verify the wire instructions by calling the recipient using a known and trusted phone number. Do not use phone numbers or links provided in email messages containing wiring instructions. If you receive any communication suggesting a change to wiring instructions, consider it suspicious.
