I recently heard that Missouri took a significant step by acknowledging and supporting first responders with a new law that recognizes post-traumatic stress disorder as a legitimate reason for workers’ compensation. PTSD and PTSI among first responders is an interesting and unfortunate subject. It’s treated differently in different states and different locales but I’m proud of our friends in Missouri for recognizing that.

St. Louis is another city that has a high crime rate and where police are really struggling. We have a number of law-enforcement relationships in that metropolitan area since Police Mortgage has an office in Kirkwood, MO.

I travel to that area several times a year. It’s a cool part of the country with super nice people. We have a good branch there with two good guys, Dillon and Connor Walsh – the Walsh brothers as we like to call them.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Area is a region of the country that’s very affordable. When I go out to dinner there I’m never shocked in a bad way when I pay the bill.

Kirkwood, and the St. Louis suburbs in general, seem to be very family-driven and safe. It’s a great place for a young family to buy a home.  Police Mortgage is proud to provide police home loans to the many law-enforcement families in Missouri.
