If you're going to pick a house and then go through the pre-approval process it's going to be a lot harder than if you knew what you qualify for ahead of time. Once you have that lined up then if you need to act quickly you will have the tools to do it.

Talk to the Loan Officer First
The most important tip I can give anyone is to always get a hold of your loan officer before you go under contract. It sounds obvious, but it’s not obvious, right? Sometimes people do that, but I see so many people looking for a police home loan that don’t.

Where First Responders Should Buy
